Ron is now in his 8th term on the Forestville Union School District board. He has been elected six times and appointed twice. He has been board president several times as well as serving on many committees. Almost every building on the school campus has either been newly constructed or renovated during his tenure.
All four of his children graduated from Forestville Elementary School and are realizing the District's mission of being lifelong learners. Their combined attendance at Forestville School comes to 25 school years.
Ron grew up in a small town in Wisconsin and received both his BS and MBA degrees from the University of Wisconsin. he has been self employed as an accountant in Santa Rosa for over thirty years.
During the 1970's and early 1980's Forestville School was at
the center of several "hot" community issues. After attending many school board meetings as an interested citizen, Ron developed an appreciation of school governance. In November 1983 he applied to fill a vacancy on the board, was appointed, and the rest is history.
Max and his wife, Eleanor, are the parents of two children currently attending Forestville Elementary and Academy. Max grew up in Forestville, attending Forestville School and El Molino High School. He moved back to town in 2003 with his family, and has enjoyed getting plugged back into the community.
In his work life, Max is a local practicing attorney. His practice focuses primarily on business and real estatetransactions, in addition to estate planning. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering in the classroom at Forestville and also serves as a board member (and current president) of the Forestville Planning Association. Max also enjoys cycling the local back roads, swimming, and the occassional chance of hooking a steelhead on the Russian River.

Gaylynne was first introduced to Forestville School when her mother began teaching here in 1973. She spent her summer vacations helping Ms. Mork in her classroom and wrote her college entrance essay about the inspiration of her favorite teacher, Mr. Jeff Tobes. Gaylynne moved to Florida after graduating from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Sociology, where she lived for 13 years. While there she worked as a pregnancy and adoption counsleor, a preshool teacher, a creative writing instructor, a book author and, most importantly, a mother of three wonderful children. Gaylynne was so excited when she was able to move back to Sonoma County in 2004 and provide her children with the special and unique education provided by this great school. Over the years she has worked as an instructional aide, the Lunch program Coordinator, and an instructor in the junior high. In 2009 she left employment her at school in order to
become certified to teach self-rescue swimming to infants and children, which has allowed her the opportunity to spend more time writing and to serve in this new and exciting role as a member of the School Board. Gaylynne is excited to face the challenges ahead and to do her part to move the school forward while maintaining the tradition of excellence it has earned.
